Credenza-Ebonized kingwood, tulipwood, and fruitwood credenza, 80” wide, inlaid with panels of stylized foliate marquetry and geometric motifs, decorated with giltmetal beading and appliques, rectangular form with raised center section fitted with a hinged lift-up flap enclosing a well, 3 panelled doors below, the center door altered to lift up and over, flanked by caiyatids, the center section of the plinth altered to roll out containing a TV receiver, the right hand door altered to incorporated the caiyatid joined by a piano hinge, left hand door original and enclosing a storage space, molded plinth base, the top inset with 2 panels of polished onyx, attributed to Leon Marcotte, New York. 3rd Quarter 19th Century.
